Vintage Ludwig 1950s WFL Buddy Rich Super Classic Snare Drum Black Diamond Pearl. 5"x14"
The Black Diamond Pearl wrap is in great condition. Shiny with no major scratches, no gouges or engravings.
Both hoops are COB as are the lugs and Classic snare strainer. Some wearing of the chrome on the top hoop and on some of the lugs letting the brass show through. I tried to capture this in some of the photos.
I do not think the internal muffler is original but it works well. An early owner has added a name / date to the drum interior. No date stamp so exactly age not known but this drum model was advertised in the 1957 Ludwig catalog.
All the hardware works as designed. New Ludwig medium coated batter head and Attack snare head. New Puresound 16 strand snares
