Vintage 1966 14" x 5" Rogers Powertone COB Snare Drum
Dayton OH, Brown Paper Tag
Serial Number # 21292
Made in the USA in 1966 (?)
Original bottom rim
Replaced batter rim (it was a little out of round)
Original lugs, internal muffler (and control lever)
2 Replaced key rods
Original snare throw off mechanism and butt plate
(1 screw on the butt plate is non-original)
Original snare wires (has a few missing wires)
New Aquarian Satin Coated Batter head
New 1 ply extra thin clear resonant bottom head
PV MUSIC Shop inspected, tuned and tested
This drum is in excellent cosmetic condition
The batter rim was a little out of round, so we replaced it
with an aftermarket, but perfectly fitting snare rim
The rim is in good condition - There's a little spot of oxidation here and there
Re-headed with an Aquarian Satin Coated batter head
and we replaced the snare side head with a 1 ply extra thin clear head
There's no issue with the snare side rim
One of the butt plate screws is non-original
2 of the key rods were bent a little, so we replaced 2 key rod screws
The ROGERS Logo is in excellent condition
There's no pitting or rust on the shell
There's very few scratches or scuffs on the chrome finish
The Snare Drum looks in super clean condition
The internal muffler (and control lever) are present and work great
The snare wires are original, a few of the wires are missing
----  it still works and sounds great
We tuned, and tested it - It sounds great !
