S Scale / Guage Dome Observation American Flyer Line

S Scale / Guage Dome Observation American Flyer Line.  Ladies and Gentlemen you are looking at my second offering of a American Flyer passenger car conversion.  This is, was a brand new American Flyer by Lionel Fundemensions, Southern Pacific Daylight observation car,  I striped the car of all paint.  My custom made dome was placed on the roof, and the hole was cut.  I removed all fluting where the dome would be placed and cemented the dome in place.  The rear tail light was cored and red fiber optic was installed.  The rear drumhead was removed and polished to remove all evidence of  the Southern Pacific.  I decided to paint this car silver to match the early 600 and 900 series streamlined cars of the late 40s and 50s.  The trucks were originally black so I painted them silver to match the early cars.  I named the car after one of my Hero's and the man that started me in model railroading.  The car is in Honor of A.C.
