  • Condition: For sale is a vintage WFL Concert snare, 6.5"x 14". I cannot determine the exact age because I don't see a stamp. My guess is 1940's. I gently refinished the outside of the shell years ago and it has a stain reminiscent of Yamaha finish from 1990's with a bluish/purple tint. The hoops are un-flanged and there is NO internal muffle. Full disclosure, the badge was loose when I got this drum and it is now held in place by threaded rod and hex nuts. I didn't want to permanently affix the badge but a new owner may wish to so. Also the 4 screws for the butt are new, but the washers AND the bolts are all original. Otherwise the drum is original.

    Description

    This is a mahogany shell with maple re-rings. One of the rer-ings has a very slight delam. Factory bearing edges are are in very good shape for their age and look untouched. Nickel hardware is in very nice shape with less than expected wear, although there is some oxidation/rust on some parts. Surefire throw off works as it should. Internal muffler/tone control.Really nice drum with the unusual addition of unflanged hoops
