Fibes snare drum SFT 690. 5 1/2" X 14" Smoke gray acrylic. Early C.F. Martin era drum. It's 47 years old and is close to mint condition.
In fact, The only thing not original is 1 single tension rod. That's it!!
No extra holes, no modifications, no defects, no dings. There are just a couple of tiny chrome pits on the hoops and thats all from 47 years of use. The acrylic shell is perfectly round with original factory round over bearing edges in perfect condition. The rest is all there and ready to play. Original snare strainer works perfectly. Original extended snare wires still respond well and are totally playable, though a new set would make the drum mint. If you are looking for a vintage Fibes SFT 690 that is in complete working order, this is the one. I hate to part with it, but I am trying to cut down my collection of 14 vintage snare drums to maybe ten. This one will be special to the right player/collector.
